‘Tis the Season of Giving
For many, the Holidays
are a time for helping those in need. Although people are in need throughout
the year, there is something about the Holiday Season that inspires generosity
above and beyond the usual.
For the past two years,
5-hour ENERGY® has supported the Gleaners
Community Food Bank of Southeastern Michigan. This year the 5-hour ENERGY®
team helped drive out hunger by filling the Gleaners truck with over 2,000 lbs
of food.
For more than 35 years,
Gleaners Food Bank has provided millions of pounds of donated and purchased
food to those in need. For every dollar donated, Gleaners uses 94 cents to
purchase food which has helped provide roughly 97,344 meals per day to those
who otherwise cannot afford it. According to Feeding America; a national food donation
organization of which Gleaners Food Bank is a member, one in six Americans
struggle with hunger. What better gift to give this
