Lately we’ve received some pretty craft-savvy submissions to our 5-hour ENERGY® contests. While those of us at 5-hour ENERGY® headquarters have been privy to all the contest submissions rolling through, we think it’s time these creations get the recognition they deserve. That is why we are excited to announce a brand new contest for the crafters, and artisans among us - “The 5-hour ENERGY® Empty Bottle Brainchild.” The idea is simple – gather up as many empty 5-hour ENERGY® bottles as you can and make something cool out of them.

That's right - you want to recycle your bottles by turning them into a mini herb garden? Awesome. Want to fashion a watercraft or piece of sporting equipment? Beautiful. Decorative wall hanging? Go for it. All we ask is that you use empty bottles of 5-hour ENERGY®. Judges will be looking for submissions that exhibit the hard work and creativity we've come to expect from 5-hour ENERGY® fans. Take a cue from past contest winner Matt Bellner and his handiwork. We've posted his video below - you know, for inspiration.

Still stumped? Here's a few submission ideas that should help set the ball rolling:

• A robot made from 5-hour ENERGY® bottles that says "Let's Do This" while simultaneously offering 5-hour ENERGY®


• An original sculpture of the 5-hour ENERGY® guy formed from bottles of 5-hour ENERGY®


• 5-hour ENERGY® inspired lawn décor


• Items created from empty 5-hour ENERGY® bottles - possibly something that could automatically make the 5-hour ENERGY® team breakfast in the morning

Come up with a "5-hour ENERGY® Empty Bottle Brainchild" that's completely awesome and enter your creation for consideration. To submit online via the 5-hour ENERGY Website, post a photo or include a video link. Alternatively, you may send your masterpiece directly to 5-hour ENERGY® headquarters. The creation that best impresses the 5-hour ENERGY® "curators" will be awarded 365 bottles of 5-hour ENERGY®. Second and third prize winners will be awarded a 6-month and 3-month supply, respectively.

Here are the "5-hour ENERGY® Empty Bottle Brainchild" rules:

• Submissions must be received on or before July 26, 2011


• All entrants must provide applicable contact information and complete required release form


• All works of art must be original and be created using actual 5-hour ENERGY® bottles


• Submissions must be made via the 5-hour ENERGY® Website, Facebook Page or sent by mail to 5-hour ENERGY® headquarters

After a challenging start to the 2011 NASCAR season, Steve Wallace is making steady climbs on the leader board. For the third straight week, No. 66 gained enough points to clinch a higher-ranking position among NASCAR Nationwide standings - moving from 12th place to 8th place after impressive finishes in recent races.

Though Wallace didn't leave Iowa Speedway Sunday with a top-10 finish, his 11th place success was indeed a hard-fought victory for 5-hour ENERGY® Racing. After a rain delay forced a 17th position start, Wallace maneuvered his way into the top 10 despite mechanical complications with his Toyota Camry. But, after a caution lap gave three other racecar drivers the advantage, 5-hour ENERGY racing was pushed back to 14th place. Throughout the final 30 laps, Wallace maintained his cool and fought his way back to 11th position, where he would finish for the third time in 2011.

Though the current NASCAR Nationwide series has been riddled with unforeseen challenges for the 5-hour ENERGY Racing team, Steve Wallace and his crew continue to make substantial gains. There are still 22 races left before racing season comes to a close mid-November, which means that if Wallace maintains his current stride, we may be looking at a career-high standing for No. 66.

Steve Wallace's next NASCAR Nationwide race is Saturday, May 28 at Charlotte Motor Speedway in North Carolina. Watch it live and witness 5-hour ENERGY Racing's inevitable ascent to the top of the NASCAR Nationwide leader board.

You may have seen a race at a NASCAR track. You've experienced the rambunctious crowds, navigated through a sea of coolers, and held your breath for the waving green flag that signifies the start of the race. But, what is the track like when engines aren't roaring and fans aren't there to scream for their favorite driver? Well, 5-hour ENERGY® is giving you the opportunity to find out.

From 8:30 - 10 a.m. on Saturday, May 14, the 2011 title sponsor of the NASCAR Nationwide race at Dover International Speedway will open up the Monster Mile to host the "5-hour ENERGY Open Track" session. Fans will be allowed entrance to the track at Gate 18 and get an up-close look at pit road the frontstretch of Dover International Speedway, home of the 5-hour ENERGY® 200.

Steve Wallace fans entering the "5-hour ENERGY Open Track" session will be thrilled to discover that the No. 66 racecar driver himself will make an appearance from 9 - 9:45 a.m. He'll be there getting his mug taken with a few fans and signing autographs. 5-hour ENERGY Racing fans will also have the chance to inspect the 5-hour ENERGY Toyota up-close.

All fans wishing to gain entrance to the "5-hour ENERGY Open Track" session the morning of big race must carry their 5-hour ENERGY 200 Nationwide Series tickets with them. Hold on to your tickets though, you'll still need them to re-enter Dover International Speedway later on that day.

We know you're eager to down a couple refreshing sodas within the confines of the Monster Mile, but please leave all coolers and bags at home until the 5-hour ENERGY 200 begins.
