5-Hour Energy Racing Roars Back Into Daytona for One Fiery Weekend

Here it is, the midway point of the 2010 NASCAR Nationwide Series, and it's been one heck of a first half for the 5-Hour Energy Racing team as they motor southward back to the beloved Daytona International Speedway.

The Subway Jalapeno 250 will most certainly be a hot one in sunny Florida this Fourth of July weekend. 5-Hour Energy driver Steve Wallace has had seven top-10 finishes this season. To make it number eight will require energy and focus.

For all of the drivers staying focused in cockpit temperatures exceeding 120 degrees Fahrenheit is essential to top finishes, and crew chiefs need an alert driver and a fast car in these long races. This weekend will test the endurance of drivers, cars and crew who don't have those energy tips.

A lot can change in the second half of this season, but consistency is what keeps 5-Hour Energy Racing in the Top-10 and within striking distance of the leaders. No one knows what lies ahead for the next 17 races, but what we do know is the excitement of racing competition will always be there for the 5-Hour Energy team and the 5-Hour Energy fans.

If you're itching for a contest or just want to snag all of those free 5-Hour Energy shots our fans are getting, peel over to the Contest page on the Fan Zone.
